Pete grew up on 6,000 acres of land in outback Australia. He lived with sheep, wheat, and cattle. Now he dances the globe with an eye for the uncommon and has emerged as one of Australia's most exciting young visual artists. Winner at the New York Independent Film Festival. Screened at Cannes. Guest speaker for TEDx Auckland. Guest speaker for Apple. Spokesperson for Nikon Australia. University lecturer. Momento Pro’s Photobook of the Year. Private collections have been exhibited internationally, including Chelsea, New York. The NSW Premier selected Pete as the featured artist for Australia Day 2010, and by invitation of the Australian Government, his Hyde Park collection is now on tour across the USA. Pete's work welcomes you to that magical realm that so often eludes us. His truth lies in adventure and mishaps, in observations of patient beauty, and in the charm of characters met along the way. He captures distilled moments from experiences that money cannot buy. Experiences that only heart, and often stupidity, allow. His work is a glimpse of the unusual... a journal of the road less-travelled. |
