The Native
Across the world, ancestral wisdom stands on the edge of silence.
Languages fade. Lands are rewritten. And with the passing of each tribe, the stories that shape our shared humanity risk being lost. Echoes of Origin is a living archive of fine art and storytelling—an offering to remember, to witness, and to help bring visibility to the world’s native cultures.
This collection pays homage to the Picuris people.
Before colonisation, they were the largest Native American tribe in Northern New Mexico. Today, fewer than 300 remain. With increasing government regulation over their land, misuse of their water supply, and a language on the brink of extinction, their story carries the weight of profound loss.
These photographs bear witness to that grief—while honoring the unwavering pride and presence that still endures.
